“The Lost Tracks: A Journey of Discovery,” traces the discovery of hundreds of track sites that emerged during record low water levels at Lake Powell beginning in 2003. Discovered and photographed by the author, these trackways have served to enrich our scientific understanding of a time when dinosaurs walked the Earth.
The 160 pages include 192 photographs, most of which have never before been published or seen by the general public.
Narrative includes the background of the discoveries, geology of the area, how it was the tracks came to be there, track documentation methods and a section on track visualization.
Perhaps it could be described as Dinosaur Tracking 101 for a general audience.
Released in Nov. 2015, the book is now available for purchase for $30. plus shipping. Colorado residents add sales tax.
